YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Lady Matadors Volleyball (6-1) split a pair of matches on the first day of the Chapman Automotive AWC Volleyball Invitational, beating Southern Nevada (0-2)3-1 before falling to Eastern Florida (5-0) 3-2 on Saturday at the House Gymnasium.

Arizona Western Volleyball (4-0) finished off a perfect weekend in Kansas, picking up two more wins in the Scooter’s Coffee Invitational, beating Frank Phillips (1-2) 3-2 in the first game of the day before taking down Ranger (2-2) in straight sets to finish the day.
Sophomore Setter Evelyn Trivino recorded 38 assists to help Arizona Western Volleyball (1-0) back from a 1-0 deficit to beat Cisco (0-1) 3-1 in the season opener at the Scooter’s Coffee Invitational in Garden City, Kan.
