2024-25: Played in 28 games and started three. Averaged 14.7 minutes per game and shot 60 % from the floor (42-70). Recorded a total of 116 rebounds, 4.1 per game. Scored 13 points in a win over Community Christian College and January 18th, 2025. Pulled down 11 rebounds in win over Community Christian College on February 12th, 2025. Had three other games with eight rebounds. This season, changed jersey number from 44 to 33.

BEFORE AWC: Attended American Heritage School in American Fork, Utah...Was named to Utah 2A First Team All-State as a senior in 2021...Helped schools to a third place finish in Utah State playoffs as a junior in 2020...Averaged 26 points per game and 15.5 rebounds per game in high school...Member of team that won the 2017 New Zealand National U15 Championship...Was named the 2017 New Zealand National MVP

PERSONAL: Majoring in Psychology and loves to learn how and why people think the way they do. Parents Poara and Tia have lived in Alpine, Utah for the past seven years. Poara can speak three languages, enjoys listening to music and his favorite food is butter chicken. His most vivid memory is moving to the United States. Father Poara played over 300 career games in the New Zealand National Basketball League and was an Olympian in 2004...Won the 2006 New Zealand Basketball League Championship with the Hawke's Bay Hawks and was named the league's MVP.
