YUMA, Ariz. - Arizona Western Matadors Softball sophomore Hannah Love earned national recognition this week, being named NJCAA DI Softball Player of the Week after helping the Matadors to a six-win weekend over Luna Community College and Utah State Eastern.

Love batted .636 and homered twice while driving in six runs in four of the games the Matadors played over the weekend, helping them win all six games to extend their winning streak to 10 games. 

Love started the week by going 3-for-3 with two runs batted in, in the opening game of the homestand before smashing a home run in back-to-back games against Utah State Eastern, doing so in the finale of the doubleheader on Friday and the opener of the doubleheader on Saturday.
