YUMA, Ariz---The Arizona Western College Lady Matadors (2-2-1) kick off a new week looking to continue their current momentum against Glendale Community College (0-4) in ACCAC non-conference game Thursday, September 12th at 4:30 pm, at the Matador Soccer Field.
The Lady Mats have flipped their season in just the past three games, not allowing any goals while piling up 20 goals in two wins and a draw.
Home cooking seemed to trigger consistency from the Matadors as they have not lost a match since opening up at the Matador Soccer Field over a week and a half ago. They continued that momentum with another shutout over GateWay, extending the clean sheet timing of keeper Melanie Yanez over 200 minutes.
The Gauchos enter the match with just two goals and three shots on goal to their credit and are coming off of their toughest loss so far this year, a 12-0 defeat at the hands of Chandler-Gilbert on Saturday.
The Mats look to continue the streak when they take on the Gauchos Thursday, September 12th on the Matadors Soccer Field at 4:30pm.
Tickets are just $5 for the game. Students enter free with I.D. The game is scheduled to start at4:30 pm at The Arizona Western soccer field. Both games will be streamed via Facebook Live @AWCMatadorAthletics.
