Lady Mats Look to Duplicate Success in '19


2019 Schedule

YUMA, Ariz. – On the heels of the best season in program history, the Lady Matador Soccer team announces their 2019 schedule in their second season under Head Coach Nicole Acosta.

The season kicks-off with a stretch of non-conference games with a pair of matches in Las Vegasa to open the season (August 29th vs CSN, August 30th vs Utah State University Eastern).

The Lady Matadors will play their home opener on August 31st in a non-conference match against Paradise Valley at 4:30pm. Arizona Western rounds out non-conference home matches against South Mountain (September 5th) and Glendale (September 12th). All home games, both conference and non-conference will begin at 4:30pm.

The Lady Mats have a pair of non-conference road tilts stacked in between with road contests at Gateway (September 7th) and Phoenix (September 14th), also starting at 4:30pm.

ACCAC play opens up at Paradise Valley with an afternoon tilt on Saturday September 21st at 12:00pm.

Conference play for Arizona Western starts with three of four on the road, the other two also being afternoon starts as well. Arizona Western heads back to Phoenix on September 26th to play South Mountain at 1:00pm and then rounds out the stretch with a trip to Glendale, taking on the Gauchos October 3rd at 1:00pm.

In between South Mountain and Glendale, the Matadors will have the first conference home match on September 28th against Gateway at 4:30pm. The conference home matches round out with Phoenix College (October 5th), Chandler-Gilbert (October 10th) and sophomore day against Yavapai (October 17th).

The Lady Matadors conclude the regular season with three of four on the road against Mesa (October 12th), Scottsdale (October 19th) and Phoenix (October 23rd), all 4:30pm starts.

Arizona Western College is one of the top community colleges in Arizona. The college boasts partnerships with all three state universities that include face-to-face classes in Yuma.
