PRESCOTT, Ariz---Freshmen Jaeda Centeno and Julia Ridder each added to their incredible resumes in just their 5th collegiate games as the #20 Arizona Western Matadors (5-0-0 overall) defeated the Yavapai RoughRiders (3-4-0 overall) 3-0 in the first ever  meeting between the programs Saturday night at Ken Lindley Field.

While the Matadors continue to establish themselves as a deep team that is well balanced, Centeno and Ridder headlined the contributions to the scoreline. Centeno notched her second hat trick in just five collegiate games, accounting for all three of the Matador scores and giving her an ACCAC best seven goals on the season.

Ridder was in net for the Matadors fourth consecutive clean sheet, dating back to the opener in Nevada, and tallied her second in as many starts.

While the pair of freshman certainly made the noise, the Matadors continue to display a holistic approach that is helping them climb into the National Rankings.

The Matadors have gone 377 minutes without conceding a goal to their opponents, outscoring the opposition 18-0 over that time span.

Sophomore Diana Sanchez and Freshman Victoria Clark assisted on each of the last two goals as the Matadors added to a 1-0 halftime lead.

Arizona Western will return to Yuma on Tuesday to host Scottsdale at 4:30pm on the Matador Soccer Field.
