    YUMA, Ariz. – All it took was a win, and the Arizona Western College women’s soccer team would host its first ever playoff match. The Lady Mats scored early to lock things up quickly in a 7-0 win over Cochise College on Tuesday night.

    YUMA, Ariz. – In an exhausting double overtime match on Thursday night, the Arizona Western College women’s soccer team tied Scottsdale 1-1. This was the first time all season that the Lady Mats (11-5-1 overall, 11-5-1 Arizona Community College Athletic Conference) had been to overtime.

    Tale of Two Halves

    YUMA, Ariz. – A two-goal lead is one of the toughest leads in soccer. One goal gets the other team back into the game, and then it becomes a dogfight. The Arizona Western College women’s soccer team saw a two-goal halftime lead vanish against a blazing hot Phoenix College team.
