With the end of a long road trip in sight, the Matador Hoops teams hit the road to take on the Mesa Thunderbirds.
Both matchups feature Matador and Thunderbird teams within two games of each other.

The Thunderbirds are led by a trio of scorers in Elijah Moore, Rajhan Billingsley, and Kyle Fischer who combine for 35 points per game.

The Lady Matadors have lost three of their last four and three straight road games as they look to bounce back against the Lady Thunderbirds who are a game better.
Arizona Western continues to search for offensive consistency but have found flashes from different scorers on the current road swing. Vinyet Garcia was tied for the team lead with 11 points in Saturday’s loss to Cochise and Jasmina Jones has averaged 8 points over the last two games.
The Mats go for the season sweep after knocking off Mesa 51-47 on December 8th behind 16 points from Mar Ibern.
