YUMA, Ariz--- The Arizona Western Matadors (15-6 overall, 9-2 ACCAC) maintained their focus throughout Friday night’s game at the House and won in three sets against Eastern Arizona College (9-14 overall, 5-6 ACCAC).
After taking the first set with a 9-point margin (25-16), the Lady Mats were also successful in defeating Eastern Arizona in the following two sets (25-19, 25-20).
The team hit .275 percent for the night and had a total of 36 digs.
The Lady Mats will continue at home when they play Scottsdale at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 27, for Sophomore Night at the House. The match will be broadcast on AWC TV and livestreamed on azwestern.edu/live. The team will also face off against Yavapai on the road at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, at Walraven Gymnasium in Prescott.
