    Jailbreak Tourney Success

    YUMA, Ariz - Arizona Western College volleyball partnered with USA Volleyball to host the first Yuma Jailbreak Tournament this past weekend. The tournament was part of a grassroots effort to build volleyball throughout the country, and everything went off without a hitch.

    Hard-Hitting All-American

    YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western College outside hitter Mafe Sandoval spent the volleyball season as a dominant force for the Lady Mats. She was named an NJCAA First Team All-American to cap her outstanding freshman season.

    Eliminated

    CASPER, Wyo. – For the second straight day, the Arizona Western College volleyball team couldn’t overcome mistakes at crucial points in a match. This time, they fell in four sets to Hill College 25-17, 25-19, 21-25, 25-17 and were eliminated from the NJCAA National Tournament.

    Bad Breaks and Mistakes

    Casper, Wyo. – The Arizona Western College volleyball team couldn’t quite overcome mistakes, and a missed call after a bad break finished the team off. The ninth-seeded Lady Mats lost to eighth-seeded Sante Fe College 26-24, 20-25, 25-18, 25-21.

    CASPER, Wyo. – Ready or not, here comes the NJCAA National Tournament! The Arizona Western College volleyball team rolls into nationals in Casper Wyoming as the ninth seed after an outstanding season.
