Lady Matadors stumble on the road, fall to Glendale in straight sets
Arizona Western drops back to back matches for the first time this season
GLENDALE, Ariz. - For the first time this season, the Arizona Western Volleyball team has lost back-to-back matches. The first loss came against ACCAC rival at home on Friday, September 19th, the second came on the road against Glendale Community College on Wednesday evening. The Lady Matadors fell in straight sets (25-18, 25-17, 25-20) and have now lost two consecutive matches against the Gauchos dating back to 2023. With the loss, Arizona Western falls to 8-3 on the season and 2-1 in conference play. The Lady Matadors look to snap the losing streak this Friday when they host conference rival Yavapai on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Friday night is "Neon Night" and all fans are encouraged to wear neon.
