YUMA, Ariz. – The Arizona Western Matadors Volleyball team reentered the rankings this week, coming in at No. 20 in the latest NJCAA DI Volleyball poll thanks to a weekend sweep of Eastern Arizona.
The Matadors opened the weekend with a 3-0 win over the Gila Monsters on Friday, winning their fourth match in a row before outlasting the Gila Monsters on Saturday afternoon with a 3-2 win to take a two-match lead in the conference standings.
Arizona Western heads on the road this weekend for a pair of matches at Central Arizona on Friday and Saturday.
