Yamada earns ACCAC DI Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week for second straight week
For a second consecutive week, Arizona Western Matadors Volleyball sophomore Rana Yamada was named the ACCAC DI Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Matadors to a 3-0 win over College of Southern Nevada.

YUMA, Ariz. – For a second consecutive week, Arizona Western Matadors Volleyball sophomore Rana Yamada was named the ACCAC DI Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week after leading the Matadors to a 3-0 win over College of Southern Nevada.
Yamada had 18 digs in the Matadors sweep of the Coyotes on Wednesday night in North Las Vegas, Nev., also recording three assists.
The Matadors, as a team, held the Coyotes to just 42 points in three sets, including holding Southern Nevada to just eight points in the final set.
