YUMA, Ariz. - The newest national rankings by the NJCAA are released this afternoon with all three Arizona Western College fall sports teams cracking the top 20. The Arizona Western Women's soccer team stays at #2 overall after a thrilling 2-1 over ACCAC rival #14 Eastern Arizona on Saturday. With the loss, EAC drops from #14 to #15 in the national rankings. The Lady Matadors started last week with a 6-0 win over conference rival Yavapai on Tuesday, September 9th. The Arizona Western Men's soccer team held on to the #10 spot in the national polls. The Matadors opened conference play with a 2-0 win over Yavapai on Tuesday, September 9th, and a 1-0 win over Eastern Arizona on Saturday. The Arizona Western women's volleyball team also cracked the top 20 in the polls with the #20 ranking. The Lady Matadors finished the week with a win in straight sets to open ACCAC play versus the College of Southern Nevada and a road win in straight sets at Phoenix College.
