Women's Soccer finishes off undefeated regular season with 6-0 win over Mohave

YUMA, Ariz. – The No. 4 ranked Arizona Western Matadors (14-0, 12-0) finished off its second undefeated regular season in program history, beating Mohave (2-11-2, 2-8-2) 6-0 on Tuesday evening at Matador Soccer Field.

Dianna Taddei gave the Matadors the lead in the 10th minute, dribbling to the top of the 18-yard box and beating the keeper with a shot tucked inside the post to put the Matadors up 1-0. Mariany de Souza added the Matadors' second goal a few moments later, poking in a rebound off a shot that hit the post to push the lead to 2-0. Karla Moreno added the Matadors' third goal just before halftime on a cross from Leigha Dobbins.

Linka Ono opened the scoring in the second half, scoring nine minutes in, putting a ball past the keeper from the edge of the six-yard box. Yui Suetsugu added the Matadors' fifth goal on a penalty while Itzel Meza finished off the scoring with a goal in the 89th minute to push the lead to 6-0.

Iyan Hernandez made one save in 90 minutes to record the shutout in the win.
