YUMA Ariz., - Arizona Western Lady Matadors' Women's Soccer freshman Yuna Aoki has signed to play at North Carolina State University next season after leading the Lady Matadors to their first-ever appearance in the NJCAA DI Women's Soccer Championship Semifinals.

Aoki appeared in 18 games for the Lady Matadors and scored five goals while tallying seven assists. Aoki scored three game-winning goals, including the game-winning goal in the West District Championship game against Salt Lake.

The defender from Japan scored the Lady Matadors' lone goal in the opening game of the 2023 NJCAA DI Women's Soccer Championships against Navarro on November 13. Aoki recorded a season-high three assists in the Lady Matadors' 17-0 win at Mesa back on September 5.

North Carolina State University is an NCAA DI intuition that competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Wolfpack went 3-9-6 last season and last reached the NCAA Tournament in 2021.
