YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Lady Matadors sophomore goalkeeper Tiany Melendrez was named this week's Chapman Automotive Student-Athlete of the Week after recording a clean sheet in the Lady Matadors' shutout win over Scottsdale on Saturday.

Melendrez made her fourth start of the season in a 4-0 Lady Matadors' win on Saturday, October 7, making a pair of saves to record the shutout of the Fighting Artichokes.

The San Luis, Ariz., native set a career-high with two saves and has yet to allow a goal this season in 252 minutes played.
