YUMA, Ariz. - The Arizona Western Lady Matadors Women's Basketball team (4-0) used a big third quarter to pull away from Western Wyoming (3-5), beating the Mustangs 72-49 on Saturday morning in North Las Vegas, Nev.

After a close first half which saw the Lady Matadors leading 29-21 at the break, Arizona Western scored 29 points in the third quarter, outscoring Western Wyoming 29-7.

For the second straight game, Kristol Ayson finished as the Lady Matadors' leading scorer, scoring 14 points on 5-for-10 shooting while Rosa Revueltas finished as the Lady Matadors' second-leading scorer, scoring 11 points off the bench, hitting a team-high three, three-pointers. 

Alliance Ndiba played her second game of the season and recorded her first double-double, scoring 10 points while grabbing 11 rebounds off the bench.

The Lady Matadors return home on Tuesday, November 22, when they host Glendale in the first ACCAC matchup of the season at 7:30 pm at the House Gymnasium. Tickets are $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for seniors (Over 65) while Arizona Western College students and employees gain free admission with their AWC ID.
