YUMA, Ariz. - Join us this Tuesday, May 19th, 2026, at 3:30 p.m. for the NJCAA DI Softball World Series bracket reveal. The viewing will take place in the MAC building in room 106. For the second consecutive year, the Lady Matadors are heading back to the NJCAA DI Softball World Series. After hosting the World Series in 2025, this year Arizona Western is heading to Oxford, Alabama. This season, the Lady Matadors became just the second team in program history to earn back-to-back national tournament berths, a feat last achieved in 1986 and 1987 under Coach Charlie Dine. Arizona Western won the national championship in 1987 and finished as runner-up in 1986. This season, head coach Joel Prickett also became the first Arizona Western skipper to reach the national tournament in each of his first two years leading the program. This is your invitation to join us and celebrate our softball team and see who stands in their path to another national championship. The World Series bracket will be revealed on the NJCAA Network on Tuesday, May 17th, at 3:30 p.m. Join us in the MAC in room 106.
