Lady Matadors climb three spots to No. 21 in latest NJCAA DI polls
Arizona Western moved from No. 24 in the softball preseason polls to No. 21 after a 14-2 homestand
YUMA, Ariz. - After beginning the year No. 24 in the NJCAA DI preseason softball rankings, the Arizona Western Lady Matadors climb three spots to No. 21 in the week one rankings. The Lady Matadors enjoyed a 16 game homestand spanning from January 30th to February 15th. Arizona Western split a four-game series with No. 22 College of Southern Idaho to begin the season and homestand, then rattled off 12 straight wins. The Lady Matadors now head on the road for the first time this season, starting with a four-game series to open ACCAC play at Eastern Arizona this Friday and Saturday. Arizona Western won't be back home at Charlie Dine Field until March 25th, when they host Monroe University.
