YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western College Lady Matadors' Softball sophomore Jessie Garcia was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association NJCAA DI West Region Second Team, as announced by the NFCA on Monday.

Garcia batted .338 with 11 doubles and eight home runs, batting in 39 runs in 46 games as a sophomore this past spring. In the circle, Garcia went 14-7 with a 3.42 ERA in 25 games, 22 of them starts, while also picking up a save. At the plate, Garcia batted .341 with 10 doubles and eight home runs.

The honor was Garcia's second NFCA All-Region honor, being named a First Team All-Region honoree as a freshman in 2023.

Garcia was a First-Team All-ACCAC and a First-Team All-Region selection as a sophomore, doing so for a second consecutive season.
