Yuma, Ariz. – Arizona Western College Lady Matadors Softball freshman Jayleen Espinoza was named the ACCAC DI Softball Position Player of the Week for the week of February 11-17.

Espinoza went 3-for-6 with two doubles and an RBI in the Lady Matadors' doubleheader at Phoenix on Saturday. The freshman went 1-for-3 with an RBI and a run scored in the opener before going 2-for-3 with a double in an 8-0 loss in game two.

Espinoza becomes the third Lady Matador to earn ACCAC DI Softball Player of the Week honors, joining both Kaity McLaughlin and Jessie Garcia.
