Matadors extend win streak to six games with road win over Southern Nevada

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Steven LeBlanc scored his first goal of the season three minutes into the contest and #8 Arizona Western added a flurry of goals just before and after the half as the Matadors rolled to a 5-0 win, on the road against conference rival Southern Nevada. Lucas di Almeida notched his first goal of the season at the 41-minute mark just before halftime. Jacob Segal added his second of the season, assisted by Ishmael Mensah, right after the half at the 47th minute mark. Daniel Coke made the score 4-0 with his second goal of the season at the 57-minute mark, assisted by Abdou MoursaliMilton Kapaya extended the score to 5-0 with his first goal of the season, assisted by Ziad Barakat at the 66th minute mark. The win is Arizona Western's sixth in a row and improves the Matadors to 7-1 on the season and 3-0 in conference play. The game also had the College of Southern Nevada issued two yellow cards, Arizona Western was tagged with a yellow and a red card. The Matadors also outshot the Coyotes 15-6. Arizona Western will be back in action this Saturday when they welcome conference rival Mohave College to Matador field. Game time is set for 7:00 p.m.
