Matadors Men's Soccer coaches earn USC West District Junior College DI Men's Staff of the Year
YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western College Matadors Men's Soccer coaching staff was named the United Soccer Coaches Junior College Men's Division I – West Staff of the Year after leading the Matadors to a fourth consecutive trip the NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Championship.
Head Men's Soccer Coach Kenny Dale and his staff enjoy another successful season, culminating in a trip to Wichita, Kan., posting a 15-1-3 record.
Arizona Western won the Region I title, beating Yavapai 1-0 before heading out on the road to win the West District title, beating Snow 2-1 in overtime to punch its ticket to the national tournament. The Matadors went 1-0-1 in pool play, beating Miami Dade 2-1 in overtime before falling to Cowley County in penalties.
Kenny Dale wrapped up his 19th season at Arizona Western, upping his career win total to 288 after the 15-win 2024 season. Dale was assisted by Bello Alhassan, Fabian Munoz and Admir Balicevac.
