Men's Soccer holds at No. 2 in latest NJCAA Men's Soccer poll
YUMA, Ariz. – The Arizona Western Matadors Men's Soccer team held at No. 2 in the latest NJCAA DI Men's Soccer poll after winning a pair of conference games last week.
The Matadors started the week with a come-from-behind win over Glendale, scoring a pair of second-half goals to stun the Gauchos 3-2. Stephen Saladin scored an 83rd-minute goal to give the Matadors the win after Rezhis Koxaj scored twice for Arizona Western.
The week was finished off with a 4-0 win over Eastern Arizona at home on Saturday, September 16, led by two Alvaro Hormigos goals.
The Matadors have been in the No. 2 spot in the ranking since the preseason polls were released back in August.
