YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors Men's Soccer goalkeeper Jonathan Garcia has signed to continue his academic and athletic career at Ottawa University-Arizona after playing in eight games for the Matadors over the last three seasons.

Garcia played in a career-high four games and made one start for the Matadors this past fall, making seven saves and allowing just one goal in 225 minutes.

The Phoenix, Ariz., native started and played all 90 minutes in a win over South Mountain on September 19, making three saves to earn the clean sheet in a 5-0 win over South Mountain.

Ottawa is an NAIA institution located in Surprise, Ariz., competing in the Golden State Athletic Conference. The Spirit posted a 7-8-2 record last season and advanced to the GSAC Championship Game in 2022.
