YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors Men's Soccer sophomore Nick Kinina was named the Chapman Automotive Student-Athlete of the Week after helping the Matadors claim the Region I title on Saturday.

Kinina led the Matadors to their seventh consecutive win in Saturday's Region I title game with a 4-2 victory over the Yavapai Roughriders at Matador Soccer Field.

During the seven-game winning streak, Kinina has anchored a backline that has allowed just three goals, outscoring the opposition 38-3.

The Matadors host Salt Lake in the West District Final on Saturday, November 4 at 7:00 p.m. at Matador Soccer Field. Tickets are $5.00 and passes are not accepted for postseason games.
