YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors Men's Basketball freshman Kaleb Myers earned ACCAC DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week after leading the Matadors to three wins at the Chapman Automotive Christmas Classic.

Myers scored 41 points and grabbed 24 rebounds as the Matadors picked up wins over No. 15 ranked College of Southern Idaho, Grand Canyon University Club, and Laramie County Community College last week.

The forward scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds as the Matadors erased a second-half deficit to come from behind and beat College of Southern Idaho, recording their first win over a ranked opponent this season.

Myers posted a double-double the next night, scoring 14 points while hauling in 10 rebounds to help the Matadors fend off Grand Canyon University Club.

Myers finished the week by scoring 17 points, finishing two rebounds shy of another double-double to lead the Matadors past the Laramie County Golden Eagles to finish the week with three wins in four days.
