Arizona Western College Matadors Men's Basketball sophomore AJ Marmolejos was named the ACCAC DI Player of the Year after finishing the regular season second in the conference in scoring with 23 points per game.

Marmolejos earned ACCAC Player of the Week honors three times and was named First Team All-ACCAC and All-Region.

The guard from San Diego, Calif., played in 29 games, making 28 starts in his second season at Arizona Western, scoring 666 points this season, shooting 38.2 percent from three. Marmolejos scored a career-high 35 points at Cochise on December, 13.

Marmolejos scored 30+ points five times and scored in double-figures in all but one game, scoring over 20 points in 18 games.

Marmolejos becomes the first Arizona Western Matadors Men's Basketball player to win ACCAC Player of the Year since Andre Nikita won the award in 2016.
