YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western College Matadors Men's Basketball sophomore AJ Marmolejos was named the ACCAC DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week for February 18-24.

Marmolejos scored 51 points and played in all 85 minutes of the Matadors' two games last week. The sophomore guard scored 32 points on 12-for-15 shooting and 6-of-7 from the three-point line in a 71-69 win over Eastern Arizona.

Marmolejos finished the weekend scoring 19 points on 7-for-12 shooting in a 65-63 overtime loss on Saturday.   

The honor was the third ACCAC DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week award for Marmolejos this season and is one of three Matadors Men's Basketball players to earn the honor this year.
