YUMA, Ariz. - Arizona Western College Matadors Men's Basketball freshman Jannoy Thomas was named ACCAC DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of February 4-10, averaging 20.5 points per game.

Thomas scored 41 points and shot 15-for-24 from the field as the Matadors split a pair of games at Cochise over the weekend. The guard from Toronto, Ontario, Canada started the weekend by scoring 19 points on 7-for-11 shooting in a Matadors' 80-70 win over the Apaches on Friday.

After leading the Matadors to a win on Friday, Thomas followed up that performance with 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting in a 78-65 loss to the Apaches on Saturday.

Thomas becomes the third Arizona Western Men's Basketball player to win an ACCAC DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week award this season, joining AJ Marmolejos and Matija Gledic.
