Arizona Western Matadors Men's Basketball sophomore AJ Marmolejos was named the Chapman Automotive Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of November 19-25 after scoring 56 points in a pair of Matadors' wins.

Marmolejos opened the weekend with a 26-point performance in an 88-70 win over Southern Nevada on Friday, November 24. The guard from San Diego, Calif., went 9-for-15 from the field and 7-for-8 from the free throw line in the win.

Marmolejos came one point shy of tying his career-high, scoring 30 points in the second and final game of the Chapman Automotive Thanksgiving Classic in a 107-64 win over Community Christian, going 5-for-6 from the three-point line.

In total, Marmolejos shot 19-for-28 from the field, including 6-of-9 from the three-point line in the two wins.
