Arizona Western Matadors Men's Basketball sophomore AJ Marmolejos earned his second consecutive ACCAC Player of the Week honor after scoring 56 points in two games in the Chapman Automotive Thanksgiving Classic.

Marmolejos opened the weekend with a 26-point performance in an 88-70 win over Southern Nevada on Friday, November 24. The guard from San Diego, Calif., went 9-for-15 from the field and 7-for-8 from the free throw line in the win.

Marmolejos came one point shy of tying his career-high, scoring 30 points in the second and final game of the Chapman Automotive Thanksgiving Classic in a 107-64 win over Community Christian, going 5-for-6 from the three-point line.

In total, Marmolejos shot 19-for-28 from the field, including 6-of-9 from the three-point line in the two wins.
