YUMA, Ariz. – After scoring 77 points in three games last week, Arizona Western Matadors Men's Basketball sophomore AJ Marmolejos was named ACCAC DI Men's Basketball Player of the Week.

Marmolejos set a career-high by starting the week with 31 points in a win over Arizona Christian on November 14, going 13-for-16 from the field with two made three-pointers while dishing out six assists in the win.

The guard from San Diego, Calif., scored 22 points in a loss to Western Wyoming, going 10-for-13 from the free throw line before scoring 24 points in a 77-76 win over Southern Nevada in 37 minutes while grabbing six rebounds.

In six games this season, Marmolejos is averaging 23.5 points per game and averaging 4.3 rebounds per contest.
