Matadors slip four spots in latest NJCAA DI Baseball rankings
The Arizona Western baseball team slips four spots from No. 17 to No. 21 in the latest NJCAA DI rankings. It marks the first time the Matadors have dropped out of the Top 20 since they were ranked No. 20 in the Week 2 polls on March 3rd. The Matadors are coming off a road series in which they lost two of three games against No. 12 College of Southern Nevada. The Matadors and No. 20 Cochise College both trail the Coyotes by three games with three games remaining in the regular season. Arizona Western and Cochise College are currently tied for second place in the ACCAC with the Apaches holding the tiebreaker. Arizona Western ends the regular season at home against Central Arizona this Thursday and Friday at Walt Kammann Field. Cochise College with host Yavapai in the regular season finale.
