YUMA, Ariz. - Former Arizona Western Baseball player Jared Davis was recently selected by the Oakland A's in the 17th round of the 2025 MLB player Draft. During his freshman year in the 2022-23 season, Davis played in 53 games batting .335 with three homeruns, 35 RBI, 17 stolen bases and 50 runs scored. Davis then transferred to Florida Southwestern State Community College before landing at Virginia Tech. The outfielder turned infielder was selected 500th overall and officially signed with the A's organization on July 23rd, 2025. Davis was assigned to the Arizona Complex League Athletics and activated on August 4th, 2025.
