Men's Basketball All-American Suarez signs with Weber State
YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western Matadors Men's Basketball sophomore Edwin Suarez signed to continue his collegiate career at Weber State University after being named a Third Team NJCAA DI All-American in his sophomore season at Arizona Western.
Suarez played 60 career games for the Matadors, scoring 674 points and grabbing 526 career rebounds. The Reading, Pa., native averaged 11.2 points per game and 8.8 rebounds per game and averaged a career-high 1.5 steals per game as a sophomore in 2024-25.
Prior to being named an NJCAA DI Men's Basketball Third Team All-American, Suarez was the 2024-25 ACCAC DI Player of the Year and was also selected to play in the 2025 NJCAA Men's Basketball Coaches All-Star Game.
As a freshman last season, Suarez was named an ACCAC Second Team honoree and had the third most offensive rebounds in the conference with 88.
Weber State University is an NCAA DI institution located in Ogden, Utah. The Wildcats compete in the Big Sky Conference and have notable alumni like NBA 75th Anniversary Team member Damian Lillard and 2024 NBA first-round pick Dillon Jones.
