YUMA, Ariz. – For the first time in the 2024 season, the Arizona Western Matadors Baseball team appeared in the NJCAA DI Baseball poll, checking in at No. 13 in the first regular season poll released Monday afternoon.

The Matadors have started the season 14-4 and are currently 5-3 in ACCAC play after sweeping Yavapai on the road on Saturday afternoon. The Matadors outscored the Roughriders 28-14 in the doubleheader, scoring 23 runs in game two.

Arizona Western will play five home games at Walt Kammann Baseball Field this week, hosting Pima in an ACCAC doubleheader on Tuesday, February 27 before playing a non-conference game with Asian Breeze on Thursday, February 29, and finishing the week with a conference doubleheader against Cochise on Saturday, March 2.
