YUMA, Ariz. – Arizona Western College Baseball sophomore Robert Miranda was named the Chapman Automotive Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of February 11-17.

Miranda went 5-for-17 with two doubles and two runs batted in as the Matadors split four games with South Mountain and Eastern Arizona. The second baseman from Miami, Fla., finished the week with a big series against Eastern Arizona, going 4-for-9 with two doubles while driving in two runs in game two.

Miranda hit safely in three straight games and also drew a walk in the series finale against South Mountain on Tuesday, February 13.
