YUMA, AZ - Arizona Western Matador Yaxel Lendeborg was named the ACCAC's Division I Athlete of the Week for the week of November 1-7.
The freshman from Pennsauken, N.J. averaged 12.5 points per game in a pair of Matadors' wins to open the season last week, shooting 11-for-16 from the field while averaging 11.5 rebounds per contest.read more

YUMA, AZ - The Arizona Western College Matadors (3-0, 0-0) outscored Imperial Valley (0-1, 0-0) 54-22 in the second half, opening the home portion of the 2021-22 schedule with a 97-55 win.
Mojus Mojus led the way for the Matadors scoring 17 points on 8-for-13 shooting, scoring 13 of his 17 points in the second half.read more
Women's Basketball | 11/06/2021
EPHRAIM, Utah--- The Arizona Western College Women’s Basketball team (3-0 overall) finished out the Snow College Classic on Saturday by triumphing over Utah State University Eastern (USUE) 61-49.
Alliance Ndiba scored 14 to lead the way, followed by Amy Hosking with 12 points. Teresa Da Silva scored 10, including two timely 3-pointers in the fourth quarter to help the Matadors pull away.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah--- The Arizona Western College Women’s Soccer team (11-5-2 overall, 5-3-2 ACCAC) lost in overtime during a close District I Championship game against the Salt Lake Community College Bruins on Saturday.
Now the Lady Matadors will wait until Monday to see if they earn an at-large bid by the NJCAA to compete in the National Championship tournament.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah--- The #5 Arizona Western College Men’s Soccer team (18-1 overall, 9-0 ACCAC) experienced their first defeat of the season during the District I Championship game versus the Salt Lake Community College Bruins on Saturday.
