Matadors Sign Two Local Stars for the Future of AWC Baseball

Arizona Western College is proud to announce that two of the Yuma area's top high school baseball stars in 2005 have signed letters of intent to play for John Stratton's Matador baseball team starting in 2007. Kofa High catcher Beau Bentley and Cibola High 3rd baseman/pitcher Jorge Molina each signed their letters of intent during halftime of AWC's men's basketball game this evening. read more

Matadors' Volleyball Star Makes Honorable Mention All-American - Just Enough 'Sales' for Priscila to Warrant National Attention

Arizona Western College is proud to announce that Matadors' volleyball player Priscila Sales has been named an NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American. The freshman outside hitter was the only Lady Matador chosen by the NJCAA, and one of only two players in the ACCAC named to the Division 1 All-American squad (the other being Eastern Arizona's Raveon Harrowa).

Matador Basketball Hits the Airwaves - AM 560 KBLU Partners Once Again with AWC to Broadcast Matador Games

Arizona Western College is proud to announce that they will continue to partner with Clear Channel Yuma powerhouse AM 560 KBLU to provide radio broadcasts of Matador men's and women's basketball games for the 2005-2006 season. The announcement comes one day before the first Matadors' broadcast.
