SB: #9 AWC Fends Off South Mountain

YUMA, Ariz—After two weeks off, the #9 Arizona Western Matadors (11-2 overall) had to fend off a very game South Mountain Cougar (0-2 overall) team that was anxious to open their season in a non-conference double-header at Charlie Dine Field Saturday afternoon.
But the Matadors were able to extend their winning streak to nine consecutive games, fending off one comeback before completing one of their own.

HENDERSON, Nev. – A game that started with a fury, ended quietly as the Arizona Western Matadors (7-2 overall) dropped the late game of a twin-bill to #20 Southern Nevada 8-4 Friday night, losing both games of the double-header at Lied Field.
Much like the first game, it was the chances the Matadors could not cash in on that will leave them wondering.

HENDERSON, Nev---The Arizona Western Matadors (7-0 overall) opened a four game trip to Nevada with their 7th straight win, a 13-0 run-rule victory over Community Christian at the Manny Guerra Border Battle at the College of Southern Nevada.
Its the sixth straight victory for the Matadors by run-rule dating back to their double-header sweep over Community Christian to open the season.
