Former Arizona Western running back Darrell Monroe did it while at AWC, and now he can add in the Indoor Football League Championship to his resume. The Arizona Western volleyball program is less than two months away from the annual Arizona Community College Athletic Conference Jamboree that marks the opening of the season. The team’s schedule has been released, and the Lady Mats will be back in the hunt for a conference title and trip to the national tournament!

    Classroom Dominance

    YUMA, Ariz. – One of the best years in Arizona Western athletics keeps getting better! A record 25 student-athletes earned All-Academic Student-Athlete Awards from the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) for posting at least a 3.6 GPA on a 4.00 scale through two semesters.

    Chyrome Thorpe (football) and Marlon Atondo (men’s soccer) both were 2016-17 NJCAA First Team All-Academic honorees by posting a 4.0 GPA during the academic year.

    YUMA, Ariz. – For nine straight years, the Arizona Western men’s soccer team has been a fixture in the Region I Playoffs. Now, the team will be aiming for a 10th straight trip to the postseason. The 20-game schedule has been released and features plenty of big-time matchups for the Mats.
