PRESCOTT, Ariz---On their heels early, the Arizona Western Lady Matadors (30-15 overall, 18-10 ACCAC) could not recover in a pair of losses to the Division I leading Yavapai RoughRiders (30-5 overall, 25-2 ACCAC) Tuesday afternoon.

Yavapai's offense was sparked in the first batter in the bottom of the first when Mia Weckel homered to start the game. The RoughRiders offense would score two more in the inning to take a 3-0 lead.

Sweep of Scottsdale Locks Up 3rd Seed

YUMA, Ariz---After being down five runs heading into the bottom of the fifth, the Arizona Western Matadors (31-13 overall, 23-11 ACCAC) turned things around to net a sweep of the Scottsdale Fighting Artichokes (16-20 overall, 16-20 ACCAC) Saturday afternoon at Kammann Field on Sophomore Day.

The win clinches the third seed, and a trip to Tucson next week, in the Region I, Division I Playoffs.

Four RBI Games Lead to Fourth Straight Win, Sweep over EAC

THATCHER, Ariz---Chloe Garcia mashed three homers on the day, but it was four that proved to be the magic number in the Arizona Western Matadors (30-13 overall, 18-8 ACCAC) swept the Eastern Arizona Gila Monsters (17-20 overall, 12-12 ACCAC) Friday afternoon.

Its the fourth straight road win in two days for Arizona Western who were powered by Garcia's two homer, 4 RBI game in game one and then Angela Oros' 4 RBI in game two.

Six Matadors Find Net in Victory over Paradise Valley

PHOENIX, Ariz---Continuing an double-digit outburst since their last loss, six different Matadors led Arizona Western College to a 8-1 win over the host Paradise Valley Pumas Thursday afternoon.

Michele Signorelli and Ridwane Boukraa each scored twice to lead the way for Arizona Western.

Ernie Garza, Michael Adeyeye, Burak Cuban and Hugo Catherine all added a goal.
