Trio of Matadors named NJCAA Men's Soccer All-Americans

YUMA, AZ - Arizona Western Matadors Michele Signorelli, Ethan Warne, and Michael Appiah were named NJCAA Men's Soccer All-Americans on Tuesday. 

Signorelli was named NJCAA First-Team All-American after leading the Matadors with 17 goals in 21 games this season, eighth-most in the nation.  The sophomore recorded a pair of hattricks, scoring three goals in a 9-0 win over Chandler-Gilbert on September 4 and doing so again in a 7-0 win over Scottsdale on September, 14. 

Warne was tabbed an NJCAA Second-Team All-American, playing in 22 games and making 21 starts for the Matadors. Warne helped anchor a backline that recorded 13 shutouts, second-most in the nation. The freshman scored a goal in an 11-0 win over GateWay on September 11. 

Appiah earned NJCAA Third-Team All-American honors, scoring nine goals and recording 11 assists. The freshman played in 22 games for the Matadors this fall and produced a pair of two-goal games, scoring twice against Chandler-Gilbert on October 2 in a 5-0 win and doing so again the next game in a 6-1 win over Mesa on October 5.

The Matadors finished off the program's best season in school history, winning 21 games and finishing as National Runner-Up at the NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Championship.
