Appiah, Signorelli named United Soccer Coaches All-Americans

YUMA, AZ - Arizona Western men's soccer players Michael Appiah and Michele Signorelli were named 2021 United Soccer Coaches Junior College Division I All-Americans on Wednesday. 

Signorelli appeared in 21 games for the Matadors and led the team with 17 goals, the eighth-most in the nation. The sophomore recorded a pair of hattricks, scoring three goals in a 9-0 win over Chandler-Gilbert on September 4 and doing so again in a 7-0 win over Scottsdale on September, 14. 

Signorelli scored a goal in a 2-0 win over Salt Lake in the semi-final of the NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Championship.

Appiah played in 22 games for the Matadors this fall, scoring nine goals and recording 11 assists. Appiah produced a pair of two-goal games, scoring twice against Chandler-Gilbert on October 2 in a 5-0 win and doing so again the next game in a 6-1 win over Mesa on October 5. 

The freshman scored a goal in the first game of pool play in the NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Championship in a 3-0 win over LSU-Eunice.
