Matadors fall in NJCAA Men's Soccer Championship final 2-0 to Iowa Western

TYLER, TX - The Arizona Western Matadors (21-2-0) saw their season come to an end with a 2-0 loss in the NJCAA DI Men's Soccer Championship final to Iowa Western (21-1-1) on Saturday night.

Iowa Western took a lead quickly, opening the scoring in the 13th minute when the Reivers took the lead on a miscue, finding a loose ball at the top of the box and finding the back of the net to take a 1-0 lead.

Matadors heading to national championship game with 2-0 win over Salt Lake

Men's Soccer | 11/19/2021

TYLER, TX - A pair of first-half goals helped the Arizona Western Matadors (21-1-0) to a 2-0 win over Salt Lake (19-1-0) on Friday afternoon to advance to the NJCAA DI Men's Championship final.

Arizona Western won its 21st game of the season and advanced to the national championship game for the first time in program history, beating the No. 1 seed Salt Lake.
