Isaacs named ACCAC Men's Basketball Coach of the Year

YUMA, AZ - Arizona Western College Matadors Head Men's Basketball Coach Kyle Isaacs was named ACCAC Men's Basketball Coach of the Year.

Isaacs led the Matadors to a 25-4 record in the regular season, finishing as ACCAC regular-season champions with an 18-2 conference record in his first season as head coach.

The Matadors put together a 15 game winning streak from Dec. 4 to February 16, taking over first place in the ACCAC.

25 wins in his first season are the second-most wins by a first-year head coach in program history, one behind Charles Harral and Dave Babcock, who each won 26 games. Isaacs is the third coach in program history to win an ACCAC regular-season title in his first season.

The Matadors open the Region I tournament on Saturday, hosting Eastern Arizona at 7:00 pm at the House Gymnasium.
