Biography:

Second stint, 4th year. Carter Roe spent 2010 through 2012 on the Matador men’s basketball coaching staff under both Kelly Green and Charles Harral before departing for an assistant coaching position at Utah State University-Eastern. Coach Roe went from Utah State University-Eastern to Howard College in Texas where he served as an assistant coach from 2013-2018.  Coach Roe has recruited and coached 28 Division I players, and 8 players who have moved on to the professional ranks, and one NBA Player (Houston Rockets Guard Rob Gray).

Coach Roe began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at Northern Arizona University 2005-2007. While there, he helped guide the Lumberjacks to a Big Sky Championship in 2005-2006.  Roe then joined the coaching staff at McCook Community College in McCook, Nebraska where he served as an assistant from 2007-2009 before joining Kelly Green’s staff at Arizona Western College.

Coach Roe is a Yuma native and graduating from Kofa High School in 2000 and Arizona Western College in 2002. He then earned a Bachelor’s in Communications from Northern Arizona University in 2004 and finished his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership in 2007.
