Casandra Sahagun
Bio

Cassandra Sahagun joined Arizona Western this June (2026) after working at an Arizona high school where she taught Introduction to Sports Medicine; Advanced Sports Medicine; and Physical Therapy Technician courses in addition to working as an athletic trainer for 3 years. While employed at the high school, Cassandra was a club advisor for HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America), SMAC (Sports Medicine Assistants Club), and NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness).  

Cassandra attended Grand Canyon University, and graduated in 2023 with her Bachelor's of Science in Athletic Training. While attending GCU, Cassandra worked with multiple high schools, JUCO’S, as well as Arizona’s Professional Soccer Team – Phoenix Rising FC (USL) for 2 years. Cassandra has an interest in Sports Psychology and has received a certificate from ELVTR in Sports Psychology by Dr. Sarah Hickmann.  

She primarily works with Soccer, Basketball, and Softball but also helps with all sports when needed. Outside of AWC, she loves spending time outdoors, hanging out with friends and family, going to the gym, attending church, and loves visiting her family in Mexico when she can.
