YUMA, Ariz. – Despite dealing with quarantines around the globe, Arizona Western College Student-Athletes, again, posted a cumulative GPA above 3.0 for the Fall 2020 semester.
51 Student-Athletes landed on the Dean’s List for the fall semester, qualified by posting a GPA above 3.5 with more than twelve semester hours.
Arizona Western College was one of the first institutions of the country to adapt multiple modules at the beginning of the pandemic last spring and the Matador student athletes closed out the year incredibly strong.
This fall, most of the Matador athletes completed the entire semester remotely and extended the streak of semesters with a +3.0 GPA.
The Matador Softball program had 14 of their 23 athletes qualify for the Dean’s List while posting a department best 3.5 GPA. Matador Volleyball was right there as well with 12 Dean’s List qualifiers and a 3.4 GPA. AWC Women’s Soccer rounded out the double-digits with 11 on the Dean’s List and a 3.2 GPA.
Matador Athletics is scheduled to return to competition on January 20th, in accordance with ACCAC and NJCAA Guidelines.
